Rispetto alla stagione precedente si aggiunsero i Lancaster Red Roses, i Long Island Sounds e i Trenton Capitols. I Wilkes-Barre Barons ripresero le operazioni. I Cherry Hill Rookies scomparvero. I Syracuse Centennials non terminarono la stagione e vennero classificati all'ultimo posto.
